Due to continuous snow with hazardous road conditions, we are only accepting trip requests for life sustaining appointments. All other trips will be cancelled until road conditions improve.

The weather forecast includes potential snow and freezing rain in the Portland metro area this week. This may cause poor or unsafe road conditions. Trips may be delayed or canceled if there is snow or ice on the road.

Some members have gotten calls or texts from people pretending to be U.S. Bank. These messages are asking for personal information. U.S. Bank will never call, text, or email you asking for personal details. If you need to give them information, it will only be if you contact them first.

Ride to Care is raising the mileage reimbursement rate. This affects the amount it pays members who drive themselves to and from their appointments. Members will get $0.70 per mile instead of the old rate of $0.67. This change will be effective January 1, 2025.

Ride to Care anticipates there will be limited trip capacity on Tuesday, April 9, and Wednesday, April 10, as some drivers take those days off to celebrate Eid al-Fitr. Please consider using another type of transportation, such as requesting bus fare or mileage reimbursement.

OHA has approved increases to member reimbursement rates. This affects the amounts Ride to Care pays members who drive themselves to and from their appointments. The new rates go into effect for trips on or after December 1, 2024.
